We’re developing a demonstrator that combines laser ablation with structured beams and an innovative fluid management system that allows the increase of the nanoparticle production, keeping the purity and sustainability that characterizes the laser technique, but overcoming its historical limitation on productivity. This prototype will be able to generate nanoparticles in an automatic and continuous way, showing the viability of the technique to interested partners and companies.
The project is led by the University Jaume I and collaborates with the ICMUV (Institute of Materials Science of the Univeristy of Valencia) for the advanced characterization and validation of the nanomaterials generated and with AIDIMME Technology Institute (Technological Metalmechanical, furniture, Wood, Packaging and related Institute) that will build the new metallic ablation chambers using 3D printing.
This initiative has a total funding of 246.725,00 €. We would like to thank the fundamental support of Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad e Innovación IVACE +i (Generalitat Valenciana) and the cofunding of the European Union, without these the technological jump wouldn’t have been possible.
